What Dolby announced

Dolby announced the additions on September 10, ahead of IBC2026. Sports Intelligence combines live game information with viewer data to help providers create highlights, catch-up experiences and personalised viewing. Dolby also announced Dolby Vision availability through OptiView.

Advertising beyond one player

The company says OptiView Ads is expanding to support video players beyond its own player. It describes in-stream formats that keep the sporting action visible while advertising appears. Specific integration requirements still depend on the chosen player and service.

Why it matters for OTT teams

Our takeaway: sports platforms are increasingly combining delivery, engagement and advertising in the same workflow. Operators evaluating these capabilities should check device support, data requirements and integration effort. The announcement does not establish compatibility with every player or with 1-Stream.
